Awkwafina
Awkwafina was initially an American musician and rapper releasing sly tracks that tackled questions of race and sexual identities with a funny twist. Prior to her move to Hollywood the singer was able to perform a variety of tracks. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was via the trumpet. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop studies began when she was a teenager. When she was in high her schooling, she specialized in women's studies and journalism. She also studied Mandarin briefly in Beijing. She turned her attention to music only after she finished her studies. After gaining viral fame via the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. Other viral hits included the queef song and the winking NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. The resume of her included musicians and an author. Now she was looking to expand her career into acting. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of notable films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
